Audi A8 L Extended Revealed; Comes With Six Doors

- Length of the car is now more than 20 feet
- Audi A8L Extended comes with six doors
- Can go from 0-100Km/h in just 7.1 seconds
The extended Audi A8 L is more like a stately limousine now and with the stretch now stands at an overall length of 20.9 ft. and of course the wheelbase of the car sees a major change as it stands at 13.8 ft. Audi describes it as an 'exceptionally long luxury sedan' and though it's a one-off according to the company, it's taken a while for them to get everything in order. The German car manufacturer has taken almost a year to develop the car.
Yes, of course, this is a built-to-order version and comes with extruded aluminium sections for the extended side sills and centre tunnel while a double rear bulkhead was implemented to separate the passenger area from the trunk compartment. As required by the law for vehicles of this length, the Audi A8 L extended comes with small side marker lights incorporated in the head lamp and tail light clusters.

Step inside the car and you are greeted into a world ruled by luxury and where space is aplenty. All the seats face the direction of travel and each row comes with sun blinds. Upholstery too is Valcona leather featuring a velvet beige colour while those on the rows two and three are individual and benefit from electrical adjustment.

Under the hood of this extra-long Audi is a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbocharged engine which produces 310bhp and develops a massive 440 Nm of torque. Now, you can never compare such cars to other performance cars from the company, but this does not mean that its slow. According to the folks at Audi, the extra-long Audi A8 L can do a sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds before topping out at 250km/h.

The Audi A8 L extended rides on 19-inch wheels and gets the same braking system as in the S8. Of course Audi has given it an all-wheel-drive quattro system which receives all the 310bhp from the engine through the eight-speed tiptronic transmission.
Audi hasn't revealed the identity of the first customer and neither has it put a price tag to it, so we wait for those details to pour out soon, but we won't be surprised to see a monarch sitting at ease in this one.
