Maruti Suzuki India manufactured 170,719 units last month, registering a month-on-month (M-o-M) growth of three per cent as compared to 165,576 units produced in June 2021.

The Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant will stop production for three Saturdays this month due to the chip shortage, the company announced in a regulatory filing.

MG Motor will launch a new seven-seater Savvy variant of the Gloster SUV in India next week. The new variant will be based on the top-of-the-line Savvy trim, which is currently available only with a 6-seater configuration.

Prices for the new offering start at Rs. 8.48 lakh for the N4 variant, going up to Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom India, introductory) for the N10 variant.

The numbers were revealed at the ''Delhi EV Forum'', organised by the Delhi government to mark one year of the implementation of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy.

The SUV is the company's first all-electric offering in the country and will come to India as a completely built unit (CBU).

The company aims to add 5 lakh autos across India, and plans to on-board more than 50,000 autos in Bengaluru by the end of the year.

The company's tractor business too witnessed a strong growth with 99,127 units being sold catapulting the sales growth by 52 per cent in Q1 FY2022.
