2018/19 Formula E Season 5 Adds Saudi Arabia To The Calendar

Formula E and Saudi Arabia have entered into a 10-year agreement, which will see the electric series heading to the Middle East for the first time starting next season.

  Making India proud in motorsport, Bengaluru-born racer Akhil Rabindra finished fourth in the third race of the 2018 GT4 European Championship, held at Brands Hatch, UK. He is the only Indian racer to compete in the championship this year and finished fourth along with teammate Stephane Lemeret. The duo has teamed up with French Team 3Y Technology to drive in the GT4 European Series. They drive the BMW M4 GT4 in the Silver Class.

  F1 2018 Video Game Release Date Announced

  British video game developer Codemasters has announced the release date for the F1 2018 video game. The 2018 edition, will be launched across Playstation, Xbox and Windows PC platform on August 24, 2018, with a host of upgrades and a lot of new cars as well. Codemasters has promised that F1 2018 will be getting the "expanded career mode" as part of a host of upgrades based on player feedback.

  Former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa has been confirmed to join the Formula E driver's grid for the 2018-19 Season 5. The Brazilian driver will be joining Venturi in the electric series and has signed a three-year deal with the team starting next year. The announcement comes after Massa had shown interest in the new electric championship and even attended the Rome e-Prix earlier this season, sparking rumours of a possible entry.

  Amittrajit Ghosh To Become First Indian To Participate In European Rally Championship 2018

  Indian National Rally Champion (INRC) Amittrajit Ghosh will become the first Indian to compete in the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC). The Team RRPM driver will be participating in Round 3 of the championship - EKO Acropolis Rally 2018, scheduled to be held in the city of Lamia, Greece between Jun 1-3, 2018. Joining Amrittrajit Ghosh will be his long-time co-driver Ashwin Naik. The team has decided to participate in selective rounds of the ERC 2018 to gain experience on the global platform of rallying.

Making its driving debut (not racing debut) for the first time ever will be the brand new Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy race car. The car will be put through its paces at the Berlin E-Prix race track by the founder and CEO of Formula E, Alejandro Agag. The I-Pace race cars are set to make their racing debut in the Formula E support races later this year and will have 20 drivers going head to head in the eTrophy support series.
