Jaguar I-Pace Race Car To Make Track Debut At Berlin E-Prix

As the Formula E calendar moves to Germany this weekend for the annual Berlin E-Prix at the iconic Templehoff airport, the race cars will be joined by another star attraction. Making its driving debut (not racing debut) for the first time ever will be the brand new Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy race car. The car will be put through its paces at the Berlin E-Prix race track by the founder and CEO of Formula E, Alejandro Agag. The I-Pace race cars are set to make their racing debut in the Formula E support races later this year and will have 20 drivers going head to head in the eTrophy support series.

    Taking his second consecutive win of the season, Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton led the 2018 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix to the chequered flag. The Briton started the race on pole and managed to retain the lead throughout despite close competition from Ferrari and Red Bull. However, Hamilton's pace was no match for other drivers as he won the race with a gap of over 20 seconds over teammate Valtteri Bottas, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished third, taking his first podium of the year.

    HWA AG has been confirmed as the newest team that will be joining the 2018/19 FIA Formula E season later this year. HWA joins as a customer entry and is the 11th team to join the grid in Formula E Season 5, which will see the biggest revamp to the series yet. HWA however, has been pretty active across other motorsport activities and in in contract with Daimler's Motorsport department for providing services in the German DTM series.

    Ending a weekend of crashes on a high, Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez won the highly dramatic Spanish Grand Prix, taking the lead in the championship. The Honda rider wasn't in his best form over the weekend but managed to bring his best on race day taking the lead on Lap 9 and won the race by a gap of whopping over 7 seconds. However, the Spanish GP had more drama at the back with a massive crash wiping out Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Ducati riders Jorge Lorenzo as well as Andrea Dovizioso out of contention.
