MotoGP: Johann Zarco Confirmed To Join KTM In 2019

Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider Johann Zarco has been one of the fiercest riders to watch out for in recent times and the young rider has finally earned his seat in a factory team starting next year. Zarco has been announced to join Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for 2019 and 2020, confirming a host of rumours ever since the beginning of this season.

The German managed to post an impressive time during Q3 and beat Mercedes-AMG's Lewis Hamilton to the pole position by a gap of 0.179s. Starting third tomorrow will be Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas, followed by Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen of Red Bull coming in fourth and fifth respectively.

    The week-long 2018 Merzouga Rally ended last week with the riders facing a motocross style final stage traversing through dunes for the whole day. Both Indian teams brought all the bikes home with Sherco TVS fielding four riders and Hero MotoSports Team Rally having two riders for the rally. The Indian contingent posted a strong finish in the rally, taking spots in under top 20, while TVS even managed to finish under top 10.

    Merzouga Rally 2018: Indian Contingent Finish Under Top 30 In First Half Of Marathon Stage 3
    The 2018 Merzouga Rally saw its first two-day marathon run in Stage 3 and both the Indian teams managed to post good rankings at the end of the first day. Team Sherco TVS led the Indian contingent with Joan Pedrero Garcia finished at P8 at the end of Stage 3, finished eighth overall, while teammates Lorenzo Santolino finished at P11, ranking 9th overall. Hero's CS Santosh had a good run and completed the day at P27, ranking 20th overall.
