Kia Motors India unveiled the SP Concept at the Auto Expo 2018 earlier this year, and the production-spec compact SUV will be the automaker's first offering in India. The model is indeed moving closer to the real thing as the South Korean car maker has commenced road trials of the production version of the Kia SP Concept, as per the latest spy shots from its home market.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch yet another important product update in India. And this time, it is the highly anticipated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift. The new car will be launched in India on august 20, 2018 and will feature some changes on the exterior and on the interior but most importantly a brand new engine family too. The new Ciaz facelift will now get a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor which will be mated to Maruti's mild hybrid SHVS (smart hybrid vehicle system) technology. This will also be the first time Maruti Suzuki will use the SHVS system on a petrol engine making the Ciaz the first ever offering from India's largest automaker to get a mild-hybrid option on all its engine options. Unofficial bookings for the new Ciaz have already opened at Nexa showrooms across the country with booking amounts ranging from Rs 11,000 to Rs 21,000 depending on the dealer.

Nissan, one of the largest Japanese automakers in the world and part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, the worlds largest automakers combined, did actually consider designing a sub 4-metre sedan for India at one point too. The plan however was dropped in favour of a new SUV for the Indian market - the Kicks - which will be launched in January 2019.

Porsche is now getting ready to launch its successor, possibly codenamed the 992 series. And now, just before the official unveiling of the new sportscar, spy pictures showcasing the car in all its (undisguised) glory have now surfaced!

Nissan India has confirmed the launch schedule for their upcoming SUV, the new Nissan Kicks, which will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Captur. The new Nissan Kicks will be launched in India in January 2019 and will be slightly different from the one that is sold internationally. The car will be more spacious and is set to have more connectivity technology options too. The new Nissan Kicks should be priced at about Rs 11-16 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will be available with both petrol and diesel options similar to the ones found on the Nissan Terrano. While its rival, the Hyundai Creta currently offers an automatic, and the Renault Captur due to get an autobox option soon too, whether or not the Nissan Kicks gets an autobox at the time of launch still remains to be seen.

Along with the Skoda Karoq Scout, the company has also revealed the Karoq Sportline, scheduled to make its public debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

Following up with the Honda Small RS Concept showcased earlier this year, the second generation Honda Brio has been unveiled at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2018 in Jakarta. The 2019 Honda Brio looks identical to the concept version and builds on the automaker's entry-level model for the South Asian markets. The all-new Brio shares its underpinnings with the new generation Amaze subcompact sedan sold in India, but sports different styling.
