Here all that we know about the upcoming crossover from Ford India - the Ford Figo Cross. The crossover will sit above the Figo hatchback and is expected to go on sale in India in 2018.

The upcoming Volkswagen Touareg has been spied once again showcasing the new design language that Volkswagen has adopted (starting with the Arteon). According to a recent announcement by Volkswagen, the new SUV is slated for a global unveil in the next few months, possibly at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show in April. The new Touareg will be much larger than its predecessor and will get 7 seats along with a whole new design language that makes it much nicer looking than its predecessors. The new Touareg might not however make it to India considering the fact that previous generations have never really managed to make much of an impression on the Indian audiences despite being great vehicles.

The specification and engine details of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus have been leaked online. The SUV will be a 9-seater and 403 mm longer than the standard sub-4 metre TUV300. Mahindra will launch the TUV300 Plus in India in early 2018.

In yet another unexpected move, the Lok Sabha has approved a bill to hike Cess on luxury vehicles from 15 per cent to 25 per cent. The Cess will be applicable along with the 28 per cent GST that is already applicable on cars that are over the 4-metre length category. In a statement, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the Cess on luxury cars has been increased in order to compensate states for revenue loss on account of implementation of the Goods and Services Tax or GST. This bill will now officially replace the ordinance, which was issued in September by the GST council that increased the GST on cars over the 4-metre length bracket.

While we know that the SsangYong brand won't be expanding its base in India any further, the company's though will play an important role for parent company Mahindra. The Indian auto giant has been working on its own iteration of a compact SUV based on the Tivoli and the model was recently spied testing. Codenamed S201, the SUV was spotted being tested alongside rival Hyundai Creta.

Mahindra & Mahindra has a host of products lined up for launch in 2018 and the automaker could kick-start its new line-up with the TUV300 Plus model in early 2018. The full-sized Mahindra TUV300 Plus has been spied on several occasions in the past, sans any camouflage and latest images reveal that the model has been also been purchased by a customer ahead of official launch.

Mahindra's upcoming compact SUV, codenamed S201, was recently spotted testing again with production-ready taillamps. The SUV is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli and it will be largely similar to the latter in dimensions and features. The upcoming SUV will not be a sub-4 metre SUV and might come with new powertrain options.

Land Rover has opted to add a commercial vehicle in its fleet of premium offerings and that too based on an existing SUV. It is the newly launched Land Rover Discovery Commercial we are talking about, which swaps the rear seats for 1856 litres of boot space. The Discovery Commercial is priced at 40,333 Pounds (around Rs. 34.63 lakh) in the UK.
