Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 vs Classic 350: Differences Explained
What's New?
Introduction
- Royal Enfield launched the 2026 version of the Goan Classic 350 in India on 12 January 2026.
- While it continues to be the same bike launched earlier, the motorcycle has received two subtle updates.
- The good thing is that the manufacturer has kept prices the same.
- The single-tone colour options are priced at Rs. 2.20 lakh, while the dual-tone colour options cost Rs. 2.2 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
- Even the four colour options for the 2026 Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 have been carried over.
- These interesting colour themes include Purple Haze, Shack Black, Rave Red, and Trip Teal Green.

Features and Equipment of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350
- The main highlight of the Goan Classic 350 continues to be its bobber-inspired styling.
- The latter is paired with a low-slung profile and distinguishing design elements.
- It rides on cross-spoke tubeless wheels with white side walls.
- Other elements that further help giving it a distinctive appeal include a floating-style single seat and mini ape-hanger handlebar.
- The biggest change for 2026 is that the 2026 Goan Classic 350 gets a new assist and slipper clutch.
- This new feature aids in providing a lighter clutch action and prevents locking up the rear wheel upon downshifting aggressively.
- Another change is that the existing USB Type-C charging port support fast charging.

Powertrain of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350
- There are no changes to the powertrain of the motorcycle.
- Powering Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is the same 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine.
- This mill produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque.
- It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Expert Reviews
car&bike Expert Take
“The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 stands out as a factory-built bobber with a relaxed riding feel and design that definitely makes a statement. We found it best suited for riders who want a stylish motorcycle for short, easy rides, but the firm rear suspension and stretched posture may not suit long-distance touring.”
Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Overview
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 builds on the legacy of the Classic 350 but takes a very different direction. Instead of focusing on everyday practicality, this version leans heavily into style, character and a distinct bobber identity. It is positioned as a factory-built custom motorcycle, aimed at riders who want something that stands out without going the aftermarket route.
With its white-wall tyres, chopped fenders, and tall ape-hanger handlebars, the Goan Classic 350 definitely makes a statement. It sits above the standard Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Meteor 350 in terms of visual appeal and overall positioning, clearly targeting a more lifestyle-oriented buyer.
Having ridden the motorcycle in city conditions and on open roads, it is evident that Royal Enfield has focused on delivering a relaxed riding experience rather than outright performance. Preetam Bora rode the motorcycle extensively, and his insights from the review are reflected throughout this evaluation.

City Riding Experience
In city use, we found the Goan Classic 350 to be easy and relaxed to ride. The engine has strong low-end torque, and it pulls cleanly even at low speeds, allowing you to stay in higher gears without much effort. Throttle response feels smooth and predictable.
Despite its weight, the low seat height and centre of gravity make it manageable in traffic. The clutch is light enough for daily riding, and the gearbox feels precise. The wide handlebars need some care in tight gaps.
Highway Riding Experience
On the highway, we found the bike is most comfortable at 80–90 kmph. At these speeds, the engine feels relaxed, and the bike remains stable. During testing, we observed that stability was good in a straight line, but past 100 kmph, vibrations begin to creep in. Wind blast also becomes noticeable due to the upright riding position. Long rides are possible, but the firm rear suspension and riding posture can cause fatigue, making it less comfortable than the Classic 350 for extended touring.
Preetam noted during his ride,
“It feels like the near perfect bike for a leisurely morning ride.”

Pros
- Striking bobber styling with white-wall tyres
- Ultra-low 750 mm seat height makes it accessible
- Relaxed, torquey J-series engine suited for easy city riding
- Stable handling with a planted feel at moderate speeds
Cons
- The firm rear suspension makes bumps more noticeable
- Wind blast and upright posture make highway riding tiring
- Limited top-end performance beyond 100 kmph
- Pillion comfort is not a strong point
Verdict
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 positions itself as a lifestyle-first motorcycle that prioritises design, character, and a relaxed riding experience over outright performance or long-distance practicality. It is not built for speed or touring comfort, but for those who want a motorcycle that feels special on every short ride.
In our evaluation, the 349 cc J-series engine delivered strong low-end torque and a smooth, easy-going nature in city conditions. Handling felt stable and predictable, making it quite enjoyable on twisty roads as well. The riding experience stands out most during slow, relaxed rides.
There are compromises. The firmer rear suspension and stretched riding posture can lead to fatigue on longer rides, which limits its touring ability. But as a factory custom bobber, it delivers strongly on what it sets out to do.
As Preetam Bora summed it up,
“as an affordable factory custom bobber, this is a motorcycle which makes a compelling case.”
