Great car to own and drive

    E.Ramachandran
I own Skoda Rapid 1.6 TSI MT Elagance for six years it stands more than a new car in my house with neighbour s envy. It raised my status wherever I drove it as it's name. I have got mileage 18 Km/ lit to 26.4Km/ lit on country roads and highways (four-way and eight ways). The car rides like a tank in the battlefields. We can drive as slow 35 Km/ hr to 170 Km/hr in top gear. The car stops before your expectations at emergency braking. The car never skids on curves and overtakes amazingly. Twice I have to cut on highways at top speed to avoid passersby and vehicle at certral median, the front wheel lifted, I grabbed fellow passenger with left hand and other on steering wheel to keep my balance, the car stood firm and drove marvelous. I can't believe that. The car never skids and never go out of our control. The shelf life is also great, it revives even after a month with out driving. The service backup is amazing. The dealers treat the owners as Kings and I get a feel that I own a new car at every time I go for services ( Aura Motors, Tirunelveli) The only handicap I felt night lighting and sudden pickup at hill terrains. But this doesn't diminish the passion for the car regarding style, safety, mileage, cost and driving.

A perfectly European sedan along with Vento in India

    Amandeep
I own this car for last 5 years. Though cost if ownership is more as compared to sedans from MSIL, but its like you get what you pay for. Top noch build quality, safety and performance doesn't come cheap. Performance is the area where no other Indian sedan can compete with this one (or vento).

    Shadow Soldier
This car is not to be driven but to be felt. I am very happy with it . I all who write bad review about are those who don't know how to drive it. It make me feel happy , when i change the gear after crossing 5000rpm .

    Simply Classic!

    Nihal
Awesome car with build quality, ride and handling.. The 1.5 TDI CR powertrain produces 83KW(~110bhp), you will definitely feel it when you depress the accelerator and at any speeds.. The DSG mated with this engine gives you lightning fast up and down shifts.. The brakes are superior than any other vehicle at this price point and the break assist works brilliantly. The Hill Hold assist holds you at any angle no matter what load you have. I'm getting an average mileage of 23-25 on long high way trips and 14-17 in city.. The dashboard looks classic and do not expect too many 'features'. I paid around 9.5k for the first service (1yr,15k km). If you care that much about 'driving' than anything, go for rapid diesel automatic.

    SKC
Fantastic front look, Best automatic DSG gearbox, uncluttered interiors other basic simply clever features. Don't expect magic but rapid has the best feature in its segment. Plus 4 yrs service pack brought me back to skoda after 6 years of my Fabia.

    Simply clever!! Not for masses

Love the car. Found it better than new Vento and Honda city. Lot of silent feature like cool glovebox, pintch glass sensors. Most importantly we liked the Sameer features andbuilt quality. Cheers to Skoda India.

This is what a driver wanted!

    nidheesh k
Experience iam having with the rapid is awsome. Being a proud owner of this huge diesel guy i am completely satisfied with the way it pick me on highway as well as in city. Immense power from turbo engine with better handling. Breaks are wonderful, ABS,EBD,BA works nice and which makes ride through curves great. Unexpected millege it gives. In highway iam getting around 20-22 if i drive in the speed of around 100km/hr. Tried in 70km/hr and without AC i got 27km/litre, that was beyond my expectations. In city its around 16. When i drive rash above 120 still it gives descent figure of 18. If you want a car for ride quality as well as build quality go for rapid. If you are a guy who wanted feature list rather than better engine like push button, key less entry, resale value, blaaa blaaa get away from him.

Most useless car amongst the class

    Venky
With the cost, the features available in the vehicle is very less. Leave alone other things the car is not having even car stereo. One has to purchase extra everything beginning with stereo, reverse sensors, navigation etc. Compared to the similar cars in the class it is the most useless user-friendly vehicle.

Great Car!! It was worth the wait.

It's simply clever car with all basic features you are looking. The base model will not have AV system by year they have 2 airbags. For German car maker-safety is first. Simply loving my first had experience.
