• The TVS Orbiter is an affordable family-oriented e-scooter, launched below the iQube lineup.
• Unlike the performance-focused iQube, the Orbiter emphasises function, range efficiency, and value for urban commuting.
• An interesting fact is that this scooter is available under a Battery-as-a-Service scheme.
• It competes with other entry-level e-scooters like the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 X.

TVS Orbiter – Features and Equipment

• The Orbiter gets a full LED lighting package including headlamp, taillamp, turn indicators, and DRLs.
• It uses a 5.5-inch fully digital coloured LCD instrument console displaying all important information.
• Then, its connected features include Bluetooth mobile app integration with turn-by-turn navigation, notification alerts, and more.
• As for the safety equipment, the Orbiter features combined braking system, EBS, regenerative braking, hill hold, cruise control, reverse assist, and a pass switch.
• Coming to the storage options, the e-scooter gets a 34-litre under-seat storage bay, front storage box, and carry hooks.
• It rides on 14-inch front and 12-inch rear alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres.

TVS Orbiter – Powertrain

• The Orbiter is powered by a hub-mounted BLDC electric motor producing 3.4bhp and 120Nm torque.
• It uses a single fixed lithium-ion battery pack of 3.1kWh capacity.
• Then, its battery delivers a claimed IDC range of 158km per charge.
• Charging through a standard 650W AC charger takes roughly four hours 10 minutes from 0-80 per cent charge.
