Having teased its new convertible for weeks now, BMW India has finally launched the much awaited new generation Z4 Roadster in the country. Prices for the 2019 BMW Z4 Roadster start at Rs. 64.90 lakh for the sDrive20i variant, while the M40i is priced at Rs. 78.90 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). The all-new offering bring back the Z4 nameplate to India and has been developed in collaboration with Toyota. In fact, the new Z4 shares its engine with the all-new Toyota Supra that was revealed last year. The BMW convertible comes to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and bookings are open at the automaker's dealerships pan India.
The all-new BMW Z4, now in it's third generation was showcased a few months ago and is quite the looker. BMW's two seater sports car has stayed true to its roots with a front engine, rear wheel drive layout and the older second generation car did quite well in India when it was launched back in 2009. And now, the new generation BMW Z4 has been spied in India wearing heavy camouflage. The ne BMW Z4 is slated to be launched in India next year and will possibly undergo type approval and homologation in the country and will be priced around the Rs 1 Crore mark.
After several months of teasers and of course, the reveal of the concept Z4 last year, BMW has finally taken the wraps off the brand new 3rd generation Z4 Roadster at the Monterey Car Week in California. The new BMW Z4 will be a conventional roadster with a soft top unlike the last generation Z4 that featured a metal folding roof - like the SLK. The new Z4 will hark back to the original Z3 and Z4 but with a modern and very futuristic styling language that apes the one that was seen on the concept last year. The new Z4 in its launch spec is the Z4 M40i First Edition and we will eventually see a slightly less glamorous version of the car with smaller engine options too.
BMW will showcase the new generation Z4 at the at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 23, along with the premiere of new BMW M850i Coupe and BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe.

The new generation BMW Z4 will make its market launch next year in Europe and is also slated for its India launch sometime by end of 2019.
The new generation BMW Z4 will make its public debut at Pebble Beach with its global debut scheduled for at the Paris Motor Show later this year.

BMW is all set to unveil the next-generation Z4 Convertible at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event to be held on 17 August, 2017. In fact, the company released a blacked out teaser image on its official Instagram handle a couple of days ago as well.
The all-new BMW Z5 was recently spotted undergoing cold weather testing. Draped heavily in camouflage, the car is still hiding a lot under all that cover, but this time we were able to spot a few changes like the revised headlamps and the new exhaust setup.
BMW has released two teaser sketches of the M6 GT3 set to make its racing debut for the 2016 season. The car will serve as a replacement of the Z4 GT3 which will be retired at the end of 2015.
BMW presented the new Z4 in two different versions: the Z4 sDrive35i and the sDrive35i Design Pure Traction, with new upgrades. The latter being available in orange body color and different trim options with regards the interior.
