The BMW K 1600 Grand America is the perfect definition of a grand tourer on two-wheels. Big, heavy, with hard-case panniers and more than enough wind protection, the K 1600 Grand America is built for the long, open road, to cover long distances in comfort and ease. And yes, there's that peach of an inline six-cylinder as well, as a bonus, or the highlight, if you will.

Now discontinued, the Springfield was one of the large cruiser Indian sold here. This motorcycle has been developed for long distance touring and this is why the V-Twin thunderstroke engine has excellent torque spread. The seats are extremely comfortable and the presence of large windscreen makes sure the rider isn’t a victim of heavy crosswinds. But the brand lacks the reach in India. Plus, it doesn’t have much sales and service reach.
