Pros Cons of Keeway RS 250

Pros

  • Retro design
  • Decent performance
  • Lightweight motorcycle

Cons

  • Performance not up to the mark
  • Poor brand recall
  • Limited sales & service outlets

Verdict

Keeway has launched the RS250 in India at the Auto Expo 2023, & it is priced from Rs. 1,49,000 (Ex-showroom). The SR250 is the Hungarian brand's 8th product in India. The RS250 gets a neo-retro look. It is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 223cc engine, which produces 15.8 bhp at 7,500 rpm, and 16 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle is rather light and weighs just 120 kgs (dry). The motorcycle also has a generous 14.2 litre fuel tank. It holds a lot of promise and despite the fact that Keeway is a relatively new brand, with little recall, the motorcycle has the potential to do good.

Pros Cons Keeway Sixties 300i

Pros

  • Retro scooter design
  • Good performance
  • Gets decent features

Cons

  • Limited sales & service outlets
  • Expensive
  • Poor brand recall

Verdict

The main strength of the Keeway Sixities 300i is the way it looks; it’s got an attractive neo-retro flavour, and there’s nothing quite like it in the market, and at that price point. It does make a bold statement, and it will appeal to someone looking for a step-up in the scooter segment, price being no constraint. The biggest challenge for the Keeway Sixties 300i will be to find takers at its price tag of Rs. 2.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). Of course, there's nothing to rival it at that displacement, but it will also compete with a lot of performance-oriented motorcycles in a market, where value for money, performance, features and brand are all big considerations for the customer. At that price tag, the Sixties 300i could have had a few more features, and the sum of it all, still makes it lack that premium, aspirational value that could have made all the difference between a good product and a great product.
