Honda has discontinued the Mobilio in India owing to poor sales. The company has also taken the model off its official website.

Japanese carmaker Honda has stopped selling its multi purpose vehicle (MPV) Mobilio in India due to poor demand and it will decide within the next two months whether to bring a new version of the model or not.

Early this week we told you that the Honda Mobilio facelift is set to be introduced in Indonesia. Ahead of its official debut, which was set for 13th January 2015, the new Honda Mobilio has been revealed with some considerable cosmetic changes.

This was the most anticipated cars ever since it was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo. The Mobilio is built on an extended version of the Brio platform, the MUV uses Honda's 'Man maximum, machine minimum' philosophy to offer a more spacious cabin and look better than its rivals.

Launched in India on July 23, 2014, the Mobilio not just opened to an overwhelming response but according to the August sales report the MPV has toppled its arch rival Ertiga in monthly sales.
