The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the two affiliated Korean automakers agreed to consent orders after it said they had inaccurately reported some information to the agency regarding the recalls.

Snatching some attention from the exhibits at the ongoing 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the eight generation Sonata sedan. The 2020 Hyundai Sonata has been revealed in images ahead of its public debut at the New York Auto Show next month. The all-new model takes shape after the Le Fil Rouge concept that was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show last year and sports bolder lines, imposing grille and more tech than its predecessor. The new offering is also larger in proportions translating into a larger cabin. The Hyundai Sonata is a familiar name on Indian streets as well and the manufacturer has brought different generations of the sedan to the country from time to time. The eight generation Sonata could also make its way to India in the future.

Hyundai, the Korean automaker, that showcased the 2015 Sonata in China last month, has now launched it in Malaysia. The similar vehicle is expected to come to our shores as well.

Taking its design cues from the company's all new Genesis sedan, the new Sonta is surely a much better looking car now than the outgoing version. The sedan gets a new grille and long headlamps, which are also seen in the Genesis.

Hyundai released the first teaser images of the 2015 Sonata. According to Hyundai, the Sonata will make its debut later this month however, they did not reveal any more details.
