Maruti Suzuki 2026 Brezza

Introduction

• Maruti launched the facelifted Brezza in India in 2024.
• However, the carmaker is planning on yet another update by 2026.
• And this has been confirmed by a fully camouflaged test mule sighted taking rounds.
• The biggest and most prominent updates we bet are - an underbody CNG tank and ADAS.
• This would make the Brezza the second car after the Victoris to get an underbody CNG tank.

Exterior

• We don't think Maruti Suzuki might want to tinker with the exterior design that's tastefully done with the facelift.
• However, if they do, it might include restyled taillights, black alloy wheels, and a shark-fin antenna.
• While minimal changes like these may give it a fresh look, but the carmaker will maintain the overall shape and proportions of the compact SUV.
• For the CNG variant, there will only be a CNG sticker on the windshield.

Interior

• Inside, again Maruti will try to use the tried and tested formula with the existing cabin layout and upholstery.
• But the latest iteration is said to get a Level 2 ADAS suite.
• This along with its allied safety features will take the sense of security a notch higher.
• However, this will be an option in the top-spec variants only, rather than making it the standard equipment.

Powertrain

• The 2026 Brezza is expected to continue with the existing engine and transmission options.
• This includes a 1.5-litre K15C engine that churns out 102bhp and 137Nm of torque.
• On the other hand, the CNG model's power output is rated at 87bhp and 121.5Nm of torque.
• The CNG variant will only get a five-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol-only model can be also had with a six-speed automatic transmission.
• It would be interesting to see if Maruti brings in some more tech to the compact SUV.
