Priced at Rs. 25.30 lakh, the Kona EV is steeply priced but if you compare it to the prices in other markets, then you realise, how well Hyundai has managed to price the EV in the country.

MG Motor UK has announced the pricing and availability on the ZS Electric SUV that goes on sale in September this year. The MG ZS EV, as it will be called in the UK, is priced from 21,495 Pounds, going up to 23,495 Pounds (around Rs. 18.36-20.07 lakh), after the 3500 Pound government grant and the company's initial discount. It will be the brand's first electric vehicle in the UK. The new electric offering is a five-seater SUV based on the standard ICE versions and offers a full-sized boot in its EV guise making it a practical offering. The MG eZS, as it will be badged in India, has been confirmed as the automaker's next offering after the Hector and is scheduled for a commercial launch in December 2019. The eZS will lock horns against the recently launched Hyundai Kona Electric.

Vehicles with the new 2-speed drive consume less energy, which in turn extends range by up to five percent when compared to a one-speed unit. Shifts take place at 70 kmph.
