Harley-Davidson's small displacement 250-500 cc motorcycle will be made in Asia. Sources in Hero have ruled out any product plan with Harley-Davidson.

Harley-Davidson has confirmed that the American motorcycle manufacturer will be developing an all-new 250-500 cc motorcycle in a strategic alliance with an Asian manufacturer. Additionally, a new adventure bike, a street-fighter and a custom cruiser are also being planned for 2020.

In all, Harley-Davidson will completely change the company's product line-up with an adventure touring model, a custom cruiser and a middleweight streetfighter.

India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) has discontinued the Versys 1000 tourer from the country, following low demand. The range-topping tourer from the Japanese bike maker never received the BS-IV upgrade, which was introduced in April last year and dealers say no new stock was delivered in the following months. The remaining stocks were sold out last year itself and the Kawasaki Versys 1000 has now been removed from the product listing on the manufacturer's website as well. That said, the bike maker continues to retail the Versys X-300 and the Versys 650 in the country that are doing relatively well.

Hero MotoCorp plans to launch new scooters and bikes in Iran and Turkey, and use Bangladesh plant to scale up presence in South Asia as part of its global expansion strategy.

The Peugeot Citystar is already available on sale in Europe with two engine configurations - 125 cc and 200 cc.

After a hiatus of over a year and a half, the Hero Karizma ZMR has been silently re-launched in the country, the company's website reveals. The 2018 Hero Karizma ZMR is available in two variants - standard and dual tone, and is priced at Rs. 1.08 lakh and Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Dealerships too have begun accepting bookings for the 2018 Karizma ZMR, even though the model is yet to reach the outlets for display.
