Korean carmaker Kia Motors had intended to launch its first cars in India by the middle to second half of 2019. But we now have exclusive information that suggests a much earlier model debut.

While Tata Motors does not have a performance-oriented product in its stable, the carmaker did entice auto enthusiasts with the Tiago and Tigor JTP editions that were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 in February. The cars have been spotted testing a number of times now and are slated for launch this festive season. Tata Motors - MD and CEO, Gunter Butschek confirmed the development to the media on the sidelines of the Tiago NRG launch earlier today. The performance version has been developed by the company in collaboration with Jayem Automotives and is one of the four new product launches that Tata Motors has planned for the festive season this year.

The Tiago is presently the most selling offering for Tata Motors and the automaker plans to make the model more appealing by introducing a rugged variant of the hatchback. The Tata Tiago NRG (pronounced as Energy) will be the next major offering from the car maker and is all set to be launched tomorrow - September 12, 2018. The Tiago NRG will be retaining the mechanicals from the hatchback but will come with several visual upgrades to the exterior and interior. The cross-hatch segment has seen a lot of popularity in bigger models like the Honda WR-V and the Hyundai i20 Active, but the Tiago NRG will compete in a segment lower against the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X. Just days after announcing its new strategy for the Indian market, Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has released the first sketches of the upcoming Kicks compact SUV. The Nissan Kicks has been confirmed for an Indian launch in early 2019. The model will be the first of many new products across the Nissan and Datsun brand, which the company plans to introduce over the next few years. The Kicks SUV is already on sale internationally and is based on the V-platform. The India-spec version though will be based on the B0 that also underpins the Renault Duster and Captur, as well as the Nissan Terrano.

Honda Cars India has revealed the launch date of the new-generation of the CR-V in India. The Honda CR-V will launch on October 9, 2018 and in its fifth generation will look to topple established players in the country. The SUV will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The Honda CR-V is sharper and angular in terms of design and looks pretty sleek. Up front, the CR-V gets a thick chrome bar for the grille which is a signature as far as Honda is concerned and it's flanked by LED headlights and complemented by the LED fog lamps.

The next generation Mercedes-Benz GLE has been spotted testing for a number of times now and while we've seen the near production car in a host of image. The latest set of spy shots though give a clearest view yet of the all-new model. The spy shots of the new Mercedes GLE reportedly were taken after the car completed hot weather testing in the Middle East. Codenamed W167, the 2019 GLE will make its debut towards the end of this year, possibly at the Los Angeles Auto Show or Paris Motor Show, which is when we'll have all the details on the changes made to the SUV.
