Volvo S40, the much anticipated compact sedan from the Swedish carmaker appears to have made a guest appearance in the company's latest safety videos. And the car used to demonstrate the new safety technology is the video looks very similar to Volvo's 40.2 Concept, which previews the upcoming Volvo S40 sedan.

Let's call a spade a spade and acknowledge the fact that India is just about opening up to the hybrid car market. The response to the Toyota Camry hybrid was an eye opener for sure and the Government of India supported this by introducing the FAME scheme which provided incentives for car manufacturers and customers who opt for hybrid cars. The Vios is a compact sedan and will be going up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, and the new-generation Hyundai Verna that's coming this year. Toyota Kirloskar Motor will showcase the Vios at the Auto Expo in February next year, with a market launch and price announcement soon after in April.

Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the all-new Tata Tigor very soon. The Tigor started life as the Tata Kite 5 at the 2016 Auto Expo and is the company's third subcompact sedan after the Indigo eCS and the Zest.
