Ford Motor Company is struggling in the world's largest auto market - China, and as part of the company's turnover strategy the automaker has unveiled the new midsize compact SUV to take on the growing segment. The Ford Territory is the American automaker's answer to the Hyundai ix25 (Creta for India) and a host of other compact SUVs in the Chinese market. Unlike the company's 'One Ford' strategy of developing global products, the Ford Territory is a China-only model and has been developed in collaboration with its local partners Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC).

The next generation Mercedes-Benz GLE is slated for for launch next year and the company says that the new model is a complete overhaul over the current version on sale. With the official unveil just months away, the 2019 GLE's interior has been leaked online in a host of new emerges. Codenamed W167, the luxury SUV will see a completely new design language as seen in the previous spy shots while the interior gets the luxury treatment for a more upmarket and classy appearance.

Images of a heavily camouflaged test mule of the Baojun 530 SUV have surfaced online. The SUV was caught on the camera near MG Motor India's Halol plant, and the test mule is also wearing Gujarat number plates.

Kia Motors India unveiled the SP Concept at the Auto Expo 2018 earlier this year, and the production-spec compact SUV will be the automaker's first offering in India. The model is indeed moving closer to the real thing as the South Korean car maker has commenced road trials of the production version of the Kia SP Concept, as per the latest spy shots from its home market.

A production-spec version of Mahindra's upcoming sub-compact SUV, codenamed S201, has been spotted testing in India again. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rival was caught on the camera undergoing testing alongside the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra Marazzo MPV.

A heavily camouflaged test mule of the upcoming all-new Nissan Kicks compact SUV was spotted testing in India for the first time. The Hyundai Creta rival is set to be launched in India in January 2019, and the new SUV will be different from the global model and will come with some specific changes suited for the Indian market.

Nissan, one of the largest Japanese automakers in the world and part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, the worlds largest automakers combined, did actually consider designing a sub 4-metre sedan for India at one point too. The plan however was dropped in favour of a new SUV for the Indian market - the Kicks - which will be launched in January 2019.
