What's New on Skoda 2025 Kodiaq?
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq has been officially launched in India, marking the debut of the second-generation model with a more refined design, upgraded interioRs., and enhanced technology. Priced between Rs.46.89 lakh and Rs.48.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Kodiaq is offered in two variants: Sportline and the top-end Laurin & Klement (L&K). It arrives as a luxury 7-seater SUV that balances family practicality with premium appeal, competing against models like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian.
Built on the updated MQB EVO platform, the 2025 Kodiaq has grown in dimensions, now measuring 4,758 mm in length, which is 61 mm longer than its predecessor. This improvement directly benefits cabin space, especially in the third row, and increases its boot capacity to 340 litres with all three rows in place. The SUV follows Skoda’s latest 'Modern Solid' design language, evident in the redesigned quad-LED headlamps, new grille with dark chrome accents (in L&K), and a bolder rear profile featuring a connected LED tail lamp design.
Powering the New Kodiaq is a robust 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Kodiaq continues to offer all-wheel-drive (AWD) as standard, enhancing its stability and off-road potential. Despite its power, it deliver Rs. a respectable fuel efficiency of 14.9 km/l, making it both sporty and efficient for long-distance touring.
The interior has been comprehensively updated, offering two distinct themes. The Sportline variant features a dark cabin with Black Suedia upholstery, grey detailing, and a sportier ambiance. The L&K variant gets a more luxurious finish with Cognac leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, and ambient lighting. Both variants come with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-inch digital cockpit, 3-zone climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and premium sound systems.
Safety and assistance systems have also received significant upgrades. Both variants come with multiple airbags, ABS, ESC, hill hold control, TPMS, and ISOFIX mounts. The L&K variant ups the game with features like 360-degree camera, Park Assist, Drowsiness Detection, and Hill Descent Control, in addition to adaptive drive modes like Eco, Sport, Off-road, and Snow.

- Excellent car compared to the competition5.0Scout(Diesel)I've 2021 model of Kodiaq however it's none of the listed models here. It's a European SEL varient TSI 1.5 automatic DSG petrol. I'm not sure if this model is in India yet. Since I drive mainly in the London, car has enough power. It's snappy , quiet and quick specially on motorways. Interior is superb and tons of features. No noise in the cabin. Automatic heated seats and front glass are best! Infotainment is great . My only complaint is, I can't search navigation by postcode.for some reason. I chose Kodiaq over Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Merc GLC. All others offers the same but at much higher price. Kodiaq is fun and I'm enjoying every bit of it.By MukeshPosted on: Mar 22, 2021 12:46 PM11
