1,854 views5 years agoदस साल! जी हां, फोक्सवैगन इंडिया को भारत में वेंटो कॉम्पैक्ट सेडान लॉन्च किए 10 साल हो चुके हैं. हालांकि अगर आप कार के ताज़ा मॉडल को देखेंगे जो ये वैसा ही है जैसा 10 साल पहले हुआ करता था. यहां तक कि कई सारे कॉस्मैटिक बदलावों और हर दो या तीन साल में दिए गए आधुनिक फीचर्स को हटा दें, तो अबतक कंपनी ने भारत में कार को कोई बड़ा अपडेट नहीं दिया है. लेकिन अब कार को एक 1.0-लीटर टीएसआई टर्बो पेट्रोल इंजन भी दे दिया गया है और हमने यह जानने की कोशिश की वेंटो में नया कम ताकत वाला ये टर्बोचार्ज्ड इंजन क्या कमाल करता है. नया 999 सीसी का तीन-सिलेंडर टर्बोचार्ज्ड पेट्रोल इंजन जिसे 2018 में सबसे अच्छे इंजन का अवॉर्ड मिल चुका है. ये इंजन 5,000 से 5,500 आरपीएम पर 108 बीएचपी पावर और 1,750 से 4,000 आरपीएम पर 175 एनएम पीक टॉर्क पैदा करने की क्षमता रखता है. ये इंजन नए 6-स्पीड मैन्युअल गियरबॉक्स और 6-स्पीड ऑटोमैटिक टॉर्क कन्वर्टर ट्रांसमिशन के साथ आया है. पिछले साल सितंबर में ही फोक्सवैगन वोंटो को फेसलिफ्ट दिया गया था और तब से अब तक कार स्टाइल और डिज़ाइन के मामले में कार बिल्कुल नहीं बदली है. इसमें सबसे अच्छा बदलाव कार के चेहरे पर किया गया था, इसमें जीटीआई से प्रेरित हनीकॉम्ब पैटर्न की मेश ग्रिल लगाई गई है जिसके बीच में फोक्सवैगन का लोगो और उसके ठीक नीचे क्रोम की एक सामान्य सी पट्टी लगाई गई थी. ये ग्रिल ट्विन-पॉड एलईडी हैडलाइट्स के साथ इंटीग्रेटेड डेटाइम रनिंग लैंप्स से घिरी हुई है जिसे पोलो के साथ पेश नहीं किया गया है. कार के अगले बंपर में भी बदलाव हुआ है जो चौड़े एयरडैम से मेल खाती हनीकॉम्ब पैटर्न ग्रिल के साथ आड़े लगे फॉगलैंप्स और दोनों ओर कॉर्नरिंग लाइट के साथ आया है. कुल मिलाकर ये सारा सेटअप वेंटो को प्री-फेसलिफ्ट मॉडल के मुकाबले स्पोर्टी बनाता है. कार की प्रोफाइल में कोई बदलाव नहीं किया गया है. यहां तक कि नई वेंटो पहले जैसे 16-इंच पोर्टागो 10-स्पोक ग्रे अलॉय व्हील्स के साथ लॉन्च की गई है. हम अभी जिस मॉडल को चलाकर देखा है वो भी साइड में हनीकॉम्ब पैटर्न के ग्राफिक्स और टीएसआई पावर टैग के साथ दिखाई दिया है. वेंटो में आरामदायक सीट्स, फॉ लैदर अपहोल्स्ट्री, क्रूज़ कंट्रोल, रियर एसी वेंट्स, सेंट्रल आर्मरेस्ट जिसे फोल्ड किया जा सकता है और अगले के साथ पिछले यात्रियों के लिए 12 वोल्ट का पावर सॉकेट दिए गए हैं. सुरक्षा की बात करें तो नई वेंटो के टॉप मॉडल में 4 एयरबैग्स, एबीएस के साथ ईबीडी, रेन सेंसिंग वाइपर्स, ऑटो रियर व्यू मिरर और पिछले हिस्से के लिए पार्किंग सेंसर्स के साथ रियर व्यू कैमरा दिया गया है. कार को चला रहे हैं सेशन विजयराघवन. 3,865 views5 years agoस्कोडा की SUV को भारत में मिली-जुली प्रतिक्रिया 2010 में लॉन्च हुई येटी ये मिलती आ रही है, जो अपने समय से पहले बाज़ार में पेश की गई कार थी, 2016 में आई कोडिएक के लिए भी ग्राहकों की ऐसी ही प्रतिक्रिया मिली. लेकिन इन दोनों कारों से कंपनी ने सबक लिया और येटी के मुकाबले कोडिएक को फिर भी लागों ने पसंद किया क्योंकि देश में इन दोनों कारों में कोडिएक ठीक-ठाक बिकी है. स्कोडा ने येटी को अब एक नई कार से बदल दिया है जो छोटे आकार की है, आज के ज़माने की है और स्टाइलिश भी है जिसका नाम स्कोडा कारोक है. इसे फोक्सवैगन ने एमक्यूबी प्लैटफॉर्म पर बनाया है और पूरी तरह आयात करने की वजह से ये SUV मुकाबले के हिसाब से किफायती नहीं है. स्कोडा ने भारत में इस SUV को सामान्य ट्रिम में लॉन्च किया है जिसका मतलब है कि ग्लॉस ब्लैक ऐक्सटीरियर एलिमेंट्स, स्पोर्टी बॉडी कलर बंपर, और गहरा लाल रंग की जगह बॉडी कलर्ड या क्रोम के पुर्ज़ों ने ले ली है, ऐसे में ये SUV सिर्फ टॉप मॉडल में लॉन्च की गई है जो सभी तरह के फीचर्स के साथ आती है. गले हिस्से में SUV को बटरफ्लाय ग्रिल दी गई है जिसे एलईडी हैडलाइट्स ने घेरा हुआ है जो एलईडी डीआरएल के साथ आते हैं. अगले बंपर पर फॉगलैंप्स, चौड़े एयरडैम और इसके दोनों छोर तक जाती अंडरबॉडी क्लैडिंग दी गई है. 5,204 views5 years agoThe 2020 Volkswagen Vento was introduced this year with a new 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which will be the only engine on offer. While visually the car remains similar to the facelifted model that was launched in September 2019, the addition of the new engine gives the compact sedan a fresh touch. It’s the same engine that does duty in the Vento’s sibling, Polo and their Czech cousin Skoda Rapid, and in India it comes with the 6-speed manual gearbox. Recently, VW also added a 6-speed automatic torque converter to the mix. In addition to a strong build, and excellent driving mannerisms, the Vento also comes with a decent number of features. 45,916 views5 years agoIndia's original compact SUV has been given the turbo treatment with the introduction of the powerful 1.3 litre Turbo Petrol engine. This 4 cylinder engine belts out a good 156 PS at 5,500 rpm but if you like to drive what might bring a bigger smile on your face is that at just 1600 rpm it generates a very impressive torque figure of 254 Nm. In comparison, the 1.5 liter naturally aspirated Petrol engine the car also comes with, stops at 142 Nm @ 4000 rpm and the power is down by a good 50 PS. Renault has offered this 1.3 Liter turbo Petrol with both manual and CVT options. And all that power and torque means this is a car which lets you have a lot of fun right from the word go. It doesn't matter that you're driving the CVT or the manual, the figure remains approximately the same at 16.5 kmpl. The start/stop function on the car also helps to a certain extent. An EcoGuide system, according to Renault monitors driving patterns and provides guidelines to improve efficiency. The 2 higher variants come with 17 inch alloys which also mean the the drive becomes a little more reassuring and you can take to the roads with higher confidence. Sadly though the all-wheel drive option seen earlier on the Duster is missing here. Its easy to differentiate this Turbo variant from the the regular Duster. The red accents have now almost become synonymous with turbo variants of various cars and that's the case here too. Only that here its called crimson red accents. The front grille, the tail gate, the roof rails & the fog lamp cover all get it. Otherwise the tri-winged full chrome grille, dual tone body colour front bumper with skid plates, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, waterfall LED tail lamps and the diamond cut alloys look the same as before. In all there are 7 colour options on offer including the Mahagony brown you see in this video. Inside, the midnight black interiors give this cabin some bit of uniqueness. The familiar 7 inch touch screen is here too and comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice recognition. There are 5 variants on offers, while the base RXE trim comes with just a manual gearbox the RXS and the top of the line RXZ get both manual and CVT. That makes it a big price range from Rs. 10.49 lakh to Rs. 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Shams Raza Naqvi tests out the the Duster Turbo to find out if it will appeal more to the purists now. 6,521 views5 years agoThe Mercedes-Benz EQC is the newest luxury electric SUV in the market and the first ever fully electric car from the German brand. The India launch of the car is expected to happen in the coming months. The EQC is loosely based on the GLC and that is evident in the fact that both cars share the same platform and similar design too. Plus, it made sense to adapt an existing car platform in order to keep costs to a minimum and reduce R&D budget too. But, the EQC will come to India as a completely built unit and well, we expect the pricing to reflect that! The EQC gets two asynchronous motors, one at each axle and the combined power output is 402 bhp. Mercedes claims a 0-100 kmph sprint time of just 5.1 seconds. The front motor is tuned for providing optimum, efficient performance while the rear motor is employed to offer a more dynamic feel when driving. The EQC offers a range of 450+ kilometres on full charge. Plugged into a DC fast-charger, the EQC can get up to 80 per cent charge in less than an hour. A wall-box charger will take close to 10-11 hours to charge the car. We expect the pricing to be a little over Rs. 1 crore at the time of the launch. Stay tuned for more updates on the EQC. And the surprise here is that the Triber did it with just one engine and one gearbox combination, where in modern times, most cars have multiple engine and gearbox options. But now, the Triber gets an AMT or automated manual transmission as an option! The Renault Triber is a quintessential people mover! Compact, smart, spacious and very practical, it is easy to see why the Triber is doing well for Renault! The Triber continues to get the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 71 bhp at 6,250 rpm while the peak power output is 96 Nm coming in at 3,500 rpm. The claimed fuel efficiency is 18.29 kmpl, which is just marginally less than the efficiency on the manual variant. As is the case with all AMTs, the Triber's AMT or Easy-R as it is called, is a 5-speed unit and while the gearshifts themselves are very smooth, the process itself is a little slow and while it may not seem to be much of a problem when you are driving at regular city speeds, but in case you need to overtake a slower moving vehicle, you will need to plan that manoeuvre. Another piece of good news is that you can shift gears using the manual mode as well, in case you need to make a quick getaway. Renault offers the AMT on RXL, RXT and the RXZ variants of the Triber and the prices start at Rs. 6.25 lakh, going up to Rs. 7.29 lakh. On an average, the AMT variants are about Rs. 40,000 more expensive than their manual counterparts and while the price gap could have been lesser, it is not drastically different either.
