Italian bike maker Benelli is back in India after a brief hiatus and the manufacturer kick-started its second innings with the TRK 502 and the TRK 502X adventure motorcycles. The models were launched at introductory prices and were scheduled to witness an increase over time. Benelli India has now hiked prices on the TRK range by Rs. 10,000, with prices now starting at Rs. 5.10 lakh for the TRK 502 and Rs. 5.50 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India) for the TRK 502X. The updated prices were revealed at the inauguration of the bike maker's new dealership in Noida, UP. The new prices came into effect since April 21, 2019.
Benelli's new middleweight adventure tourer, the TRK 502 has been having a tremendous response in India. Benelli India is also looking at increasing the dealership footprint across India.
The Benelli TRK 502 is priced from Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom); which puts in the same vicinity as a number of other offerings between 300-650 cc in the adventure motorcycle segment. While the bike does not have a direct competitor at this price point or displacement, the model does lock horns against the Kawasaki Versys 650, BMW G 310 GS, Kawasaki Versys-X 300, and the SWM SuperDual T.
