The new production-spec Benelli Leoncino 800 and the Leoncino 800 Trail take the scrambler design from the smaller models and amplify with a bigger engine and hardware. The bikes will go on sale globally by early next year.
Benelli India will launch the Leoncino 250 motorcycle in the country on October 4, 2019, carandbike can confirm. The Chinese-owned Italian manufacturer is all set to re-enter the quarter-litre segment after the TNT 25 was discontinued last year, and the new model is expected to bring a niche with itself as the most affordable scrambler-styled offering to go on sale. It also seems Benelli has decided to fast-track the launch of its 250 cc version, instead of the original plan to bring the model by the end of this year after the Imperiale 400 goes on sale. The Benelli Leoncino 250 will share its underpinnings with the Leoncino 500 that was introduced earlier this year and is priced at Rs. 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This one though will be substantially more affordable with prices expected under Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
Benelli recently launched the Leoncino in India at a price of Rs. 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is India's most affordable scrambler motorcycle with a parallel-twin engine. Here's everything you need to know about the Benelli Leoncino.
Making its much-awaited India debut, Italian bike maker Benelli has introduced the Leoncino 500 motorcycle priced at Rs. 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The all-new offering is a scrambler-styled bike that takes inspiration from the 'Lion Cub' models of the 1950s and '60s while packing in modern mechanicals. The Benelli Leoncino 500 has been a long-awaited model and is the second launch from the bike maker after resurrecting its operations in India earlier this year in collaboration with Adishwar Auto Ride India. Bookings for the Benelli Leoncino have commenced online for Rs. 10,000, and can be done at any of the manufacturer's dealerships as well.
Benelli India will launch the Leoncino scrambler in India in early August, possibly on 5th August, 2019. While the company hasn't officially started accepting bookings but dealerships have started taking bookings unofficially.
Italian bike maker Benelli revived its operations in India late last year with its new partner Adishwar Auto Ride India, and the manufacturer finally introduced its first new offering - the TRK 502 - as part of its second innings in the country. However, the Benelli TRK 502 is just one of the many products for the year and the company has confirmed the launch of five new products in 2019. Post the TRK, Benelli will be bringing in the Leoncino 500 to India next, which will hit the market by April or May this year. Expanding its presence in the 500 cc segment, the Italian brand's next launches will likely be the Imperiale 400 and the 502S motorcycles.
While the Benelli Leoncino's launch is already confirmed for India, we can now tell you that the model is all set to make it way to showrooms in November 2017. Motowheels Chairman, Shirish Kulkarni confirmed the same in a recent chat with Carandbike.com, while also confirming that there are two more launches lined up for this fiscal.
