The Benelli TRK 502 and the 502X were among the first 500 cc adventure touring motorcycles to be launched in India. These Benelli motorcycles were designed to offer solid presence on the road and go touring, with adequate power on tap. The TRK 502 is the road-biased variant while the TRK 502 X is the off-road variant. There are quite a few differences between the two. The TRK gets alloy wheels, both 17-inch units while the X gets wire-spoke wheels, a 19-inch unit up front and a 17-inch unit at the rear. Here are the top 5 highlights of the Benelli TRK 502 range. (The 500 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine is Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) compliant and makes 47 bhp at 8,500 rpm along with 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox)

(Along with the BS6 engine, the BS6 Benelli TRK 502 also gets feature updates in the form of new Aluminium-frame hand guards, larger rear view mirrors backlit switchgear and a new instrument console, which is part digital, part analogue. The seating and ergonomics undergo a slight change as well. The styling of the motorcycle stays the same as before)

(The Benelli TRK 502X is the off-road oriented model and comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels. The ground clearance is a decent 220 mm, while the fuel tank capacity is an impressive 20 litres. The bike also gets a massive windscreen and a new cast aluminium rear box bracket to make it more touring friendly.)

(The bike underpinned by a steel-trellis frame with USD forks up front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking performance comes from 320 mm floating discs at the front and a single 260 mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard on the motorcycle)
