  • Sharp handling with a stable chassis
  • Modern electronics (traction control, ride modes, TFT display)
  • Aggressive naked bike styling and strong road presence

Cons

  • Slightly aggressive riding posture for long rides
  • The firm seat may affect long-distance comfort

Verdict

The Kawasaki Z900 is a muscular streetfighter which excels in everyday usability while delivering serious performance. In our evaluation, we found that, even with its aggressive design and powerful inline-four engine, the bike is approachable and surprisingly manageable in the daily riding conditions.

The 948 cc engine is smooth, lively, revs freely, and, once past 5,000 rpm, it starts to pull hard with no let-up in acceleration. It feels quick but predictable while the chassis provides stable straight-line manners and sure-footed corners.

The seating position is comfortable while the wide handlebar makes the bike easy to control even in traffic. At the same time, the weight of the Z900 can take a while to get to when stationary, and riders who prefer more suspension tuning options can find the adjustment range a little bit limited.

As Preetam Bora summed up,

“The Z900 isn’t perfect, but it’s easy to ride in traffic and thrilling every time you open the throttle.”
