The Honda CBR650R is well-balanced with entertaining performance and with an agility that is quite likeable. However, it's still an expensive motorcycle and fails to convince for the steep price tag it commands.

    Honda CBR650R Expert Review

How is the design of the Honda CBR650R?

The motorbike has a twin-pod headlamp, a transparent windscreen, a complete fairing, a split-style seat, and a small exhaust canister, all of which are influenced by the CBR1000RR. While the design of the 2021 Honda CBR650R is identical to that of the 2020 model, the headlamp has a sharp new reflector shape. New side panels, steel rear mudguard/number plate mount clip-on handlebars, and rear set foot pegs are also included in the latest version of the middleweight motorbike.

As previously stated, the CBR650R replaces the CBR650F, resulting in a sportier design with revised fairings, sharper lines, and a streamlined rear portion. Of course, the design was influenced by its older brother, the super-sexy CBR1000RR Fire blade. Because of the clip-on handlebars, the riding posture on the motorbike is more sporty—full-LED lighting and a completely digital LCD instrument console complement the sleek appearance. The CBR650R features a 15.4-litre petrol tank and a ground clearance of 132 Nm.

How does the Honda CBR650R Ride?

The Honda CBR650R isn't challenging to master, as you might think, The ride quality is spot-on, and it wafts beautifully around town, is comfortable on the highway, and doesn't protest when you ride it fast.

It's well-balanced, steady, elegant, and exciting, with brakes that never let you down. It isn't as fast as a full-fledged super sports racer, and it doesn't have the plush ride of a bike with a more costly suspension, but it handles everything with ease. Even better, the slightly sporty riding posture is roomy and pleasant.

    How comfortable is Honda CBR650R?

The riding posture is significantly sportier than before, and while it isn't precisely a back-breaking superbike, it does feel like a proper sports bike. The R's clip-on risers were put behind the top triple-clamp, lowering and pushing the bars forward by 1.2 inches, in contrast to the CBR650F.

A slight adjustment in the location of the foot pegs, up a quarter-inch and back a hair, canting the rider triangle in a more aggressive position and spreading more weight over the front end supplements that move in the sporty direction. Still, you won't find as much knee bend or wrist tension on this bike as you would on a typical super sport motorbike, making it the ideal sports bike for the everyday rider.

    How's the tech?

Following are the tech features of the Honda CBR650R:

    • Speedometer - Digital
    • Tachometer - Digital
    • Gear Indicator
    • Fuel Warning Indicator
    • Fuel Gauge
    • Low Oil Indicator
    • Low Battery Indicator
    • Pillion Seat
    • Engine Kill Switch
    • Clock
    • Tripmeter Type - Digital
    • Tripmeter Count
    • Pass Light
    • Dual-Channel ABS
    • Effortless Assist/Slipper Clutch
    • Embellished With Full LED Lighting
    • LCD Display
    • Redesigned Exhaust & Muffler
    • Roading Four-Cylinder Engine

How's the mileage of the Honda CBR650R?

The Honda CBR650R Petrol version achieves a stated fuel economy of 25 kmpl.

How's the performance of the Honda CBR650R?

The Honda CBR650R is a fantastic illustration of what the company excels at. A beautiful bike with a solid foundation of performance chops in an almost bulletproof package. It's simple to ride, pleasurable to ride, and just intriguing enough to keep you occupied. It's also an excellent illustration of what Honda can do badly even on the four-wheeled front, with a clumsy instrument cluster that prioritises showing off technological prowess above function.

Is Honda CBR650R a good value?

The CBR650R is a practical, forgiving, and comfy motorcycle that puts out a modest 94 horsepower. It's a fantastic road bike that's great for commuting or even touring, but anyone serious about track riding should seek elsewhere. As a result, it's an excellent deal.

The bikes are equipped with a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.

The CBR650R BS6's feature list is identical to that of the 2020 model, including all-LED lighting, a digital LCD instrument cluster, and an assist and slipper clutch. Dual-channel ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology are among the motorcycle's safety features.
