The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been around for almost four years in its original version and with the completion intensifying after the arrival of products like the Mahindra XUV300 and Hyundai Venue, Maruti is finally trying to spice up the range.

New-gen subcompact SUV expected to get the new 1.5-litre DualJet petrol engine and 6-speed automatic gearbox from the Ertiga and XL6.

The much-discussed petrol version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will launch in Q4 of 2019-20. The new Vitara Brezza will be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol motor and will offer manual and AMT variants, and will be Bharat Stage 6 or BS6 compliant. It will also usher in the facelift for the car.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift has been in the works for a while now and it seems the model is ready for a market debut by early next year. Leaked images of the Vitara Brezza facelift completely undisguised made their way online and give us our first detailed look at the exterior changes on the subcompact SUV. The offering looks largely the same but gets revised styling for a refreshed appearance, while there will be a petrol engine too in the line-up this time round.

The Vitara Brezza has strong competition though from the likes of the Tata Nexon which comes in both petrol and diesel. In fact the Nexon was the first Indian car to receive a 5 star safety rating from Global NCAP and it too is selling in good numbers.
