As the 2018 Indian Auto Expo inches closer and closer, news about new products that could be showcased keeps trickling in. We have already brought you news about Tata Motors' plans to showcase their brand new premium hatchback, light commercial vehicle and an SUV at the Auto Expo. That said, new information hints at not one but two new SUVs from the same family (platform) making an appearance at the Expo instead. The two new SUVs, which have been developed under the codename 'harrier' and 'raptor' for the last few years are large-ish SUVs and will have similar design features. That said, they are said to be different in terms of overall size with one offering a smaller footprint and a 5 seat configuration while the other is larger and will offer a seven seater layout.

A new image of the upcoming Gravitas has surfaced online, and for the first time, we get to see the SUV without camouflage.

As far as the name of the Micro SUV is concerned, it is likely to be named after a bird and the name doing the rounds of the media is Hornbill. In fact, after the Harrier and even the Altroz, which is named after an Albatross, the micro SUV too will follow this line of thought.

We expect the car to come with the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit making 140 bhp and it's likely to come in both the manual and automatic transmission

Tata Motors, the home-grown automajor, has unveiled a new SUV concept - the Hexa at the ongoing 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The concept is based on the Aria platform and features a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, VARICOR diesel unit that is good for 154bhp and 400Nm.
