Honda has revealed the 2019 Honda CBR650R at the EICMA show in Milan, which is essentially an updated model of the Honda CBR650F sold in India. The name changes with the 'R' added, and the CBR650R gets some updates in the engine, making more power.
An expected debut, Kawasaki has revealed the 2019 Z400 naked motorcycle at the 2018 EICMA Show in Italy. The new Kawasaki Z400 is the stripped version of the Ninja 400, minus the fairing, clip-on handlebars and the aggressive riding position. What you get instead is the same powerful engine and chassis as the Ninja 400, with minimal body panels. Globally, the new Z400 replaces the Z300 in the bike maker's line-up and will compete against the KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha MT-03 and the likes.
After teasing it over a week, Royal Enfield has pulled the wraps off the Concept KX motorcycle at the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. The Royal Enfield Concept KX is a design study and takes inspiration from the 1938 Royal Enfield that was powered by an 1140 cc V-Twin engine and was the largest displacement motorcycle from the manufacturer at the time. The Concept KX though remains a one-off prototype for now with no plans of production, but we could see the design evolve and influence Royal Enfield motorcycles in the future, including a high displacement V-Twin powered model.
Honda has unveiled the 2019 range of 500 cc motorcycles - the Honda CBR500R, Honda CB500X and the Honda CB500F at the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. The three bikes share the same underpinnings but are very different in purpose and appeal, and have been updated with improved components and styling. The bikes continue to draw power from the 471 cc twin-cylinder engine with 47 bhp on offer, while low and mid-range torque output has improved by 4 per cent, improving acceleration across the range.
Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, has unveiled a new touring motorcycle based on the 200 cc Hero XPulse adventure concept. The XPulse 200T, along with the XPulse 200, will be launched in early 2019.
The Yamaha middleweight adventure bike is powered by the 689 cc, parallel-twin engine of the Yamaha MT-07 and has rally-spec suspension and design. Only ABS is available and no other electronic riding aids.
The new Ducati Monster 821 will be showcased at the EICMA 2018 show and gets dedicated matte black livery with red highlights, a small headlight cowl, quickshifter and adjustable Kayaba front fork.
Just ahead of the 2018 EICMA show, Ducati has taken the wraps off the 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950 at the World Ducati Premiere in Milan. The Hypermotard 950 will be showcased at the EICMA show, along with the rest of the 2019 range.
