India plans to offer fresh incentives to companies making electric vehicles (EVs) as part of a broad auto sector scheme it expects to attract $14 billion of investment over five years, according to industry sources and a document seen by Reuters.

The Jaguar I-Pace is the newest luxury electric SUV to go on sale and comes to India as a Completely Built Unit. The offering is being sold in three variants with a single powertrain option.

When launched, the I-Pace e-SUV will compete against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQC in the segment. Prices are expected to start from around Rs. 1 crore for the new Jaguar I-Pace.
