Tata Motors has increased the price of its electric SUV, the Nexon EV, by Rs. 26,000 for the XZ+ and the XZ+ LUX variants in India. However, prices for the entry-level XM variant remains unchanged, and the electric SUV continues to come at a starting price of Rs. 13.99 lakh. However, after the revision, the other two variants are now priced at Rs. 15.25 lakh and Rs. 16.25 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
Tesla Inc said on Tuesday it has cut the price of its Model S "Long Range" sedan by 4% in the United States, days after the electric-car maker reported record quarterly deliveries.
South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co started construction on a research and development centre in Singapore on Tuesday that will house a small-scale electric vehicle production facility. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the facility may produce up to 30,000 electric vehicles (EVs) annually by 2025 and represents an investment of S$400 million ($295 million).
LG Chem, along with China's CATL, supplies batteries for Tesla's electric cars made in Shanghai. Tesla posted record quarterly deliveries in the third quarter.
