Porsche's first electric sports car - the Taycan - had a successful endurance test over 24 hours that saw it drive 3,425 kilometres non stop. The test was carried out at Italy's Nardo high-speed circuit in temperatures above 40 degree celsius.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power has announced its first partnership with the private sector. The world's largest public energy services company (ESCO) has signed a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospitals to install public charging stations across its hospitals in India. The aim is to boost e-mobility across the country and the tie-up will help set-up the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Under the MoU, EESL will make the entire upfront investment on specified services and deploy the manpower required for the operation and maintenance of the public charging infrastructure. Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals will provide the requisite space and power connections for the charging network to EESL.

Gurugram-based Okinawa Autotech has turned out to be one of the first manufacturers to introduce offers across its product line-up for the upcoming festive season. The offers on the company's range of e-scooters are available from this month and will continue till October 31, 2019. This includes an assured Rs. 1000 discount on the purchase of any electric scooter, along with home appliances for 20 lucky customers. In addition, the electric two-wheeler also has an international trip up for grabs for one lucky customer.

Car rental company Nextmove has walked away from a 5 million euros ($5.55 million) order for 85 Tesla Model 3 electric vehicles following a dispute over how to fix quality issues.
