The car was launched at Rs. 25.30 lakh and that is an introductory price of course. There's also the option of a dual-tone paint scheme which can be got for an additional Rs. 20,000. Hyundai has invested heavily into making the Kona a viable option for the Indian market and the company is assembling the Kona in India as a result. Now, Hyundai is looking to sell 500 units of the car per annum in India and that's one way of ensuring penetration into the EV business. The company held its first customer event last weekend in the city, and has also begun accepting pre-bookings for its electric scooters for a token amount of Rs. 5000. The Ather 450 is priced at Rs. 1.31 lakh, while the entry-level Ather 340 is priced at Rs. 1.11 lakh (all prices, on-road Chennai), and will be officially launched tomorrow. The prices are about Rs. 5000-6000 more expensive than Bangalore.
