To boost electric mobility in the country the Government of India has announced its plan to supports 15.62 lakh electric vehicle through subsidies. The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Nitin Gadkari has announced at the Parliament that the phase-II of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME India) scheme is being implemented with total budgetary support of Rs. 10,000 crore.
