"You guys must be a bit crazy to do something like this" - that was current Formula One champion and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton's, first reaction as I explained the GLAadventure.

In less than two weeks after we, ever-so-enthusiastically, started the GLAadventure, the team has already clocked good figures - six international borders crossing Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria and Italy.

Interestingly, Istanbul was the first foreign city I ever set foot on albeit briefly, while Vienna was the last European city I visited.

Jitters, excitement - it is at times like these that one truly understands the meaning of such words. The occasion was after all a big one - the flag-off of the first ever around-the-world drive from India certainly qualifies as big!

You know how you think you know it all, and not in an egotistical way either - and yet you don't? That's how we all felt - maybe more so in a combined sense - when we descended on a workshop to take us through the vehicles that will be our companions through the GLA Adventure.

We recently drove to the Indo-Tibetan border to celebrate 69 years of India's independence - over the course of which we traversed over what the Border Roads Organization proudly referred to as 'The Most Treacherous Road in the World'.
