The company's exports also witnessed a decline of 26 per cent last month at 2621 units, down from 3537 units shipped in November 2018. In the passenger vehicles segment, the automaker reported a 10 per cent drop in volumes at 14,637 units last month, as against 16,188 units sold in November last year. The UV segment too registered a six per cent drop at 14,161 units, down from 15,049 units sold during the same month last year. The automaker saw a sharp decline in volumes for passenger and commercial vehicles when compared to the 50,470 units sold during the same month last year. The automaker witnesses a constant decline in volumes despite a positive festive season, even as the auto sector has shown signs of recovery over the past month. The South Korean auto giant sold 44,600 units last month, as opposed to 43,709 during the same month last year. Meanwhile, exports for the previous month saw a sharp incline in volumes with the company shipping 15,900 units, a growth of 25.2 per cent as opposed to 12,702 units exported in November 2018. The manufacturer sold 141,400 units last month, lower than the previous year's sales result of 146,018 units. The automaker has witnessed a drop in sales once again after reports looked positive in October this year, backed by the festive season. This figure is lower than what the company did in October 2019. MG Motor India sold 3500 units in October and that can be attributed to the festive season. The sales numbers have been growing ever since the Hector was launched in July 2019. The company sold 1500 units in the first month itself after which it breached the 2500 unit barrier in September and finally reached the 3500 unit mark in October.
