The overall sales grew irrespective of fluctuating fuel price and the trade wars with the US, as it saw a growth of 38 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Jaguar Land Rover India has announced a strong 66 percent increase in sales in the First Half of 2018 calendar year, with 2 579 units sold during the period of January to June 2018.

Volvo Cars India announced a record growth of 33 per cent in volumes in the first half of 2018. Between January to June 2018, the company sold 1242 units. The sales were spearheaded by the XC60 which contributed to 25 per cent of the total volume.

BMW India and Mercedes India post their best ever half-yearly sales record in India. It is the gap between the two companies, which makes for an interesting read.

Mercedes-Benz India had its best ever half-yearly showing with sales of 8,061 units in the time period of Jan-June 2018.

BMW sold a total 5171 (BMW+Mini) cars for the period of January To June 2018 with 4,890 BMW models sold and 281 Mini models sold. BMW also sold 208 motorcycles in the first half of 2018.
