Maruti Suzuki India has released the monthly sales numbers for June 2021, during which the company's total sales (domestic + exports) stood at 147,368 units. This includes the cumulative domestic sale of 130,348 units and exports of 17,020 units.

The cumulative wholesales of Toyota in the first six months of the calendar year 2021, stands at 59332 units when compared to 28686 units sold in the corresponding period last year, thereby registering a growth of 107 per cent.

Nissan India released its sales figures for June 2021, selling 3,503 units last month, which is a growth of 508 per cent over 576 units sold in June 2020.

MG Motor India sold 3,558 units in June 2021, which is a 250 per cent growth from 1,016 units sold in May 2021. MG said that the phased unlocking helped it get increased enquiries and bookings.

Bajaj Auto posted total sales of 310,578 two-wheelers (domestic+exports) in June 2021, which is a growth of 22 per cent over June 2020. The company registered sales of 155,640 two-wheelers in the domestic market in June 2021.

The Hyundai Alcazar is the 10 millionth car to roll out of the production line at HMIL's plant in presence of M K Stalin- Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who also signed on the car's hood to mark the occasion.

Reiterating the company's confidence in going petrol-only with the TSI engines, Skoda Auto India's Brand Directed, Zac Hollis told carandbike that the company sells more units of the TSI version of the Rapid compared to the older petrol and diesel models combined.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India is aiming to nearly double its used case sales this year. The company, which sells pre-owned cars through its multi-branded used car network, Das WeltAuto (DWA), sold about 10,000 used cars during the 2020 calendar year. Now, the carmaker is confident that it can double its volumes by the end of this year, by selling over 20,000 pre-owned vehicles in India.
