With the coming of the Renault Kiger, Indian car buyers have nine car models to choose from, with each model getting multiple variants too! So, it is a problem of plenty, you see. And yes! It is a motley crew of subcompact SUVs that we have here! The Kiger is proverbial ‘new kid on the block’; the Venue was the winner of our last subcompact SUV shootout, beating the Sonet. And the Tata Nexon is here since it wasn’t a part of our previous subcompact SUV comparison! So, does the Kiger have enough mettle to fend off its established rivals or not? Time to find out! The Honda Drive To Discover has entered its tenth edition, and this year the drive was from Bengaluru to Goa. Of course, with all due COVID protocols in place! The Global NCAP 'Safer Cars for India' initiative has been on since 2014. The Renault Triber is the first car crash tested in 2021. The Triber scored 3 stars for child occupant protection in the rear. Given the subcompact MPV's positioning as an affordable mass-market product these scores are significant. Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the updated, 2021 Triumph Speed Twin, which now gets more performance, different suspension and tyres, as well as other minor cosmetic updates. For now, the 2021 Speed Twin has just been unveiled, but we expect the new Speed Twin to be launched in India in the next couple of months, at a slight premium than before.
