The special edition is aptly called 'JUSTIN BIEBER X VESPA' and has been personally ideated and designed by the singer, the company said in its release.
Piaggio India says it will take about two years to develop the electric scooter and wants to make a business case for its products even after the government subsidies have been withdrawn.
Piaggio India has rolled out festive season benefits worth Rs. 10,000 on its Vespa and Aprilia range. This includes free insurance worth Rs. 7,000, complimentary accessories worth Rs. 4,000 and bookings benefits worth Rs. 2,000.
Piaggio will lease the Aprilia and Vespa scooters via OTO Capital in Pune and Bengaluru first. The company will offer a low down payment and 30 per cent discount on EMIs to entice customers about the new leasing programme.
The Vespa Racing Sixties edition will be sold alongside the standard versions and come with an all-white paint job with red racing stripes and gold graphics, gold-finish five-spoke petal alloy wheels and a contoured seat, all of which is inspired from the Italian racing era of the 1960s.
