Verdict

The Okinawa Okhi 90 is the flagship electric two-wheeler from the company and it goes up against established rivals such as the Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. Power on the Okinawa Okhi-90 electric scooter comes from the 3.8 kW belt drive motor. The company says the scooter can hit a top speed of 85-90 kmph. The electric motor draws power from the detachable 3.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Okhi-90 can go up to 160 km on a single charge in Sport mode, while exceeding 200 km in Eco mode.

Pros Cons Bajaj Chetak

Pros

  • Excellent build quality
  • Good performance
  • Nice ride quality

Cons

  • Could have had better range
  • Expensive
  • Could have had more features

Verdict

The Chetak certainly is a fitting tribute to a legendary name from Bajaj. In electric form, it's quite a likeable scooter, and it comes across as a well-built, well-finished scooter with all the features and gizmos associated with a new-age electric scooter. The only drawback for now, is its availability, but that's something which is likely to change over the next year or so. Its design is its biggest strength, coupled with its easy rideability
