  • Heavy motorcycle

Verdict

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is possibly all the bike you ever need till the time you stick to tarmac. It looks good. The quality of fit and finish is commendable and the performance is solid too. The engine is one of the finest we have seen in recent times, on a middleweight motorcycle. Yes! It has a couple of chinks in its armour, but nothing that could be a deal-breaker. It works wonderfully as a daily ride and will be good company on your occasional highway jaunts too.

Pros Cons KTM 250 Duke

Pros

  • Updated 249 cc engine with 30.57 bhp and 25 Nm of torque, providing a smooth and engaging ride
  • Significant weight reduction of 8 kg, improving agility and handling
  • Advanced features like a 5-inch LCD screen, Bluetooth connectivity, ride-by-wire, and quick-shifter

Cons

  • Vibrations noticeable between 4500 to 5500 rpm, particularly during highway cruising
  • Stiff ride quality despite increased suspension travel, which may be uncomfortable on rough roads
  • Pillion seat could benefit from better padding for longer rides

Verdict

The KTM 250 Duke gets design inspired by the KTM 1290 Super Duke. The motorcycle also gets a dual-channel supermoto ABS mode. The 250 Duke continues to be powered by a BS6 compliant 248.8 cc single-cylinder engine which makes 30.50 bhp of power at 9250 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque at 7250 rpm. In terms of rivals, it goes up against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and its sibling, the Husqvarna 250 Twins. It is one of best options in the 250 cc naked sport motorcycles.
