Hyundai Motor India has silently updated the i20 Active for the 2019 model year and the model is available in the market with prices starting at Rs. 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2019 Hyundai i20 Active is listed on the automaker's website and is offered in three variants - S, SX and the SX dual-tone, and is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The new prices see a marginal increase of about Rs. 2000 over the older i20 Active and the model gets new safety systems to meet the now mandatory safety norms including reverse parking sensors, reverse camera, speed alert system, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder and more, as part of the standard kit.

A heavily camouflaged prototype of the Hyundai i20 Active facelift was recently spotted testing in South Korea. Although the car has received several small and big updates, the Hyundai i20 Active is yet to get a proper mid-cycle facelift and this could be it.

The engines of the i20 Active remain the same and that means there's a 1.2-litre Kappa engine which is good enough for 82 bhp while the 1.4-litre U2 diesel motor offers 89 bhp.

The i20 Active will come with sharp creases on the sides and we expect a new alloy wheel design to be introduced as well. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the the facelifted model will be identical to the current model and will be under the 4 metre mark. The facelifted version will debut at the Auto Expo 2018.

Based on the new-gen i20, the crossover shares its features and engine line-up with the former. That said, the company has tried to give it a more rugged look and sportier interior than the regular i20.
