After MG Motor, even Hyundai India is studying the feasibility of introducing a low-cost electric vehicle in India that could help generate more volumes.

Ford Motor Co on Wednesday said its car lineup in Europe will be all-electric by 2030 as the U.S. automaker races to get ahead of CO2 emissions targets and looming bans in some countries on fossil fuel vehicles.

The E-R9 has been developed by Lotus Engineering and the car has been created as a technology showcase of its philosophy, capability and innovative spirit in the fields of advanced electrified powertrains and aerodynamics.

The company plans to invest Rs. 700 crore for e-mobility manufacturing plant in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.

The KM3000 is priced at Rs. 1.27 lakh with a top speed of 100 kmph, while the KM4000 is priced at Rs. 1.37 lakh, with a top speed of 120 kmph.

The IONIQ5 sets itself apart from other midsize crossovers, especially those with internal combustion engines and conventional Steer-by-Wire systems, because the E-GMP allows for an elongated wheelbase and flat floor.

Nissan Motor Co Ltd said on Monday it is not in talks with Apple Inc, following a report that the iPhone maker approached the Japanese company in recent months about a tie-up for its autonomous car project.

In the next five years, Land Rover will launch six pure electric variants through its three families of Range Rover, Discovery and Defender.
