The current global shortage of electronic components has taken a hit on production, leading to delivery backlogs. Effectively, the waiting period on Maruti Suzuki cars has also gone up. For petrol cars it's up to 12 weeks and around 18 weeks for CNG models.

Overall, the industry has recorded a decline of 31.78 per cent at 12,88,749 units as compared to 18,89,348 units sold in the same month last year.

Domestic market sales of Honda Two-Wheelers declined by nearly 38 per cent year-on-year.

In November 2021, Ashok Leyland's total sales stood at 10,480 units, a marginal year-on-year decline of 2 per cent compared to the 10,659 commercial vehicles sold a year ago in November 2020.
