Now, Hyundai says that the decline in volume is mainly due to the ongoing global shortage for semiconductor chips, which has affected vehicle production deeply. Considering most of Hyundai's newer models come with the company connected car technology, Hyundai is certainly facing a lot of heat due to the chip shortage. In addition to that, the company is getting stiff competition from the likes of Tata Motors, which saw a growth of 51 per cent in January 2022.
