New Royal Enfield Classic 350: In Pictures
What's New?
Introduction
- Royal Enfield updated its most popular model, the Classic 350, with a few updates in September 2024.
- The bike now packs even more features than before.
- But then, the design is same as the older model while retaining its retro look and a bulky appearance.

Features & Equipment
- The latest iteration of the Classic 350 gets new colours.
- However, it’s the Stealth Black variant that gets exclusive alloy wheels.
- And then, with the retro look, RE has continued with a small beak, round headlight, and abundant chrome.
- Although it retains the classic styling, the motorcycle gets modern features to add to the convenience and stay up to date with the competition.
- This includes LED headlights and position lights, USB-C charging port, ABS, and a gear position indicator.
- Now, the Classic 350 also gets an adjustable clutch and brake levers.
- But otherwise, the double cradle frame, telescopic front forks with dual rear springs, braking hardware, and spoke wheels shod with tubed tyres continue to be offered as is.

Engine & Gearbox
- Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the brand's proven J-series 349cc engine.
- This single-cylinder mill produces 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm torque at 4,000rpm.
- It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox and continues to thump out oodles of torque along with the iconic melody from its exhaust.

car&bike Expert Take
“The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a true modern classic, keeping the brand’s signature thump and vintage charm, but taking its refinement to a global level. Its J-series engine feels smooth and relaxed, meaning riders get to enjoy the old-school vibe without giving up reliability or everyday usability.”
For riders desiring a steady and relaxed cruise over top speeds, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 has always been a popular choice. With over 10 lakh units sold in India according to 2025 statistics, this legendary machine was always tough to update, but Royal Enfield did it successfully with the new J-series platform. While it sticks to its post-World War II aesthetic with that teardrop fuel tank and the curved fenders, it also benefits from a completely overhauled twin-downtube spine frame, under which sits a much more refined engine.
Today, the motorcycle’s recent updates attempt to satiate all modern expectations. Riders now benefit from LED lighting and a USB Type-C charging port. The bike also had a gear shift indicator, but Royal Enfield has ‘temporarily’ removed this feature, blaming a short supply of rare-earth-based sensors. Regardless, all these additions do not interfere with the bike's core identity anyway, with its primary focus staying as a commanding, laid-back two-wheeler that satisfies both morning city commutes and weekend highway runs.

This bike’s 2024 launch was closely reviewed by the car&bike team, while we have consistently talked about its updates over the years; check them out on our website (a piece done by Preetam Borah) and our YouTube channel. We have added a few of the insights from these pieces throughout this article as well to help you understand whether this bike matches all your requirements.
Pros
- Highly refined J-series engine
- Excellent ride quality over bad roads
- Massive aftermarket and service support
- Comfortable seating for long rides
Cons
- Lacks top-end highway performance
- Heavy kerb weight at parking speeds
- Halogen headlamp output is weak
- Tubed tyres on spoke wheel variants
Verdict
Today, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 sticks to its legendary silhouette while upgrading with mechanicals that make its real-world performance much better. Moving to the J-series platform has only gotten rid of the bike’s notorious vibrations, since now, your riding experience is much smoother and more enjoyable. The two-wheeler takes to city commutes easily and also settles into a comfortable rhythm while on the highway.
While it does not come with the highest horsepower figures or the sharpest handling, its sense of occasion stays unrivalled. The solid build, comfortable ergonomics, and Royal Enfield-esque thump make it an incredibly endearing two-wheeler to live with. If you want a straightforward, old-school motorcycle experience now made better by modern engineering, the updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 remains the undisputed king of this segment.
Preetam concludes,
“Royal Enfield certainly has made all-round improvements to the new Classic 350. It's better in every aspect with more refined performance, better dynamics, more colour options and feels better built as well.”
Classic 350 Colour Options
Royal Enfield Classic 350 is available in 10 different colors namely Jodhpur Blue, Madras Red, Medallion Bronze, Commando Sand, Gun Grey, Stealth Black, Emerald, Halcyon Green, Halcyon Black & Redditch Red.

- Bike is Good but Company is Bad4.0STD BS IV(Petrol)first of all, the terms for purchasing the bike are not easy to understand. It's all about fake promises about date of delivery. first they will regularly ask you to deposit money as early as possible telling that they have got bike in stock, and as soon the finance is done the model goes out of stock. Even after disbursal of loan. depositing whole money they take next 4-6 days in delivering. The Online support is too much pathetic, Don't know, what will be the response from service staff.By Gajendra SinghPosted on: Oct 13, 2019 04:59 PM18433
- This is for the ROYAL ENFIELD haters.5.0Classic 350For all those people commenting Bad on Royal Enfield I'll give you a simple advice. Please sell your RE. Because this is a machine. It needs at most care. Nowadays youngsters purchasing this bike handle this to be a very normal bike and end up saying this shit. It is you who you has to take care off the engine and everything. If you are complaining on the bike then seriously you are unfit to ride a Royal Enfield. You ride it as an off road vehicle and not lubricating the chains and you're f****** complaining about the vehicle. The Royal Enfield is a classic masterpiece In the automobile industry. Handling The masterpiece like shit and dogs bark on it. I have got three bikes. Kawasaki z 650, Harley Davidson and a Royal Enfield . Simply Royal Enfield is the best.By A Royal Enfield LoverPosted on: Jan 03, 2020 09:02 AM15132
- Best cruiser bike for everyday use to long journeys.5.0STD BS IV(Petrol)Yes it is a bike that requires u to take care of it more than other bikes. It has the stability that is required for everyday city rides and not only that it has the comfort required for long distance trips. The engine feels to have heated if driving for long distances, but that problem is easily resolved if you change the engine oil they provide, i.e, Royal Gun 15W50. I have been using Motul 5100 15W50 engine oil for 3000 kms and it has decreased the heating problem of engine considerably, and not only that it has also lessened the engine vibrations making the ride smoother and more enjoyable. The other problem that most people say that royal enfield has low mileage is completely wrong... If u ride it like a cruiser and not like a racing bike than u are bound to get a mileage above 40. I am getting a mileage of 47 in city. I rode for 600 kms with some buddies on the hilly terrains of shillong without any problems, the twisty roads, the steep climbs all traversed on the mighty classic 350 without any problems. Use good quality petrol, lubes for ur bike. Select the best engine oil for ur bike and u r bound to love ur bike.. At the end for me Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the best bike for city rides as well as for long journeys. Ride Safe. Wear Helmet. Enjoy Ride.
