Spend a few minutes riding the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, and you quickly realise it isn’t trying to be just another everyday scooter. Suzuki has clearly aimed for something different here. The Burgman borrows its identity from the larger global Burgman maxi-scooters, bringing that bigger, more relaxed feel into the 125 cc commuter space. The tall windscreen, long seat, and roomy riding position immediately make it feel more comfortable than many smaller scooters.
What we notice most is the scooter’s calm, comfort-first personality. It’s not chasing sporty thrills. Instead, it focuses on easy riding and everyday practicality. As Preetam Bora puts it, “The Burgman Street brings a premium maxi-scooter feel into the everyday commuter segment.”
In simple terms, this scooter feels bigger, more comfortable, and slightly more premium than most 125 cc commuters.

Expert Context
When we review the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, it isn’t just a quick spin around a parking lot. Our tests come from real riding experience, and that’s where Preetam Bora brings valuable perspective. He has spent over 20 years riding and evaluating two-wheelers.. With that kind of experience, you stop looking only at specifications and start paying attention to how a machine behaves in the real world.
For this review, we rode the Burgman through a mix of everyday routes, including the busy Goregaon–Aarey Road stretch, the Mulund–Thane–Bhiwandi highway corridor, and dense city commuting traffic. This combination gave us everything from slow stop-and-go riding to faster open-road cruising.
We tested it where scooters actually live — real traffic and real roads.
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 stands apart in the 125 cc scooter segment because it brings a different philosophy to everyday commuting. Instead of focusing purely on compact practicality, Suzuki has borrowed inspiration from its larger global Burgman maxi-scooters. The result is a scooter that feels noticeably bigger and more relaxed than typical urban commuters. The tall windscreen, longer seat and stretched body proportions provide the rider with a sense of space and comfort, especially during longer city rides. Even the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 facelift updates have focused on refining that premium identity rather than changing its core character.
At its heart, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 2025 continues to use a smooth and easy-going 124 cc engine that prioritises refinement and efficiency. It isn’t meant to feel aggressive or sporty. Instead, it delivers calm, predictable performance that suits everyday traffic conditions perfectly.

Here’s what defines the Burgman experience:
- 124 cc refined engine
- Maxi-style scooter design
- Comfortable and relaxed ergonomics
- Ride Connect connectivity technology
As Preetam Bora explains, “The Burgman Street is designed more around comfort and style than outright sportiness.”
This scooter isn’t chasing performance. It’s chasing comfort.

Variants
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 lineup keeps things refreshingly simple. Instead of offering too many trims, Suzuki focuses on two clearly defined versions that cater to different types of buyers. The core riding experience remains the same across the lineup. What this means is that the maxi-design, comfortable riding position, and smooth 124 cc engine are the same whether you take the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 base model or the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 top model. What really changes between the variants is the level of technology and connectivity.

Street Standard Edition
This is the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 base model and it focuses on the essentials. You still get the same large scooter design, comfortable seat, and relaxed riding ergonomics that define the Burgman experience. It keeps things straightforward with a digital instrument console and practical everyday usability. For riders who want the Burgman’s comfort and style without additional tech features, this version works perfectly well.
Street Ride Connect Edition
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 top model represents this version, where Suzuki adds connectivity features that make the scooter feel more modern. The Ride Connect system links the scooter to your smartphone, turning the console into a smarter interface for navigation and notifications.
Key additions in this variant include:
- Bluetooth-enabled digital console
- Turn-by-turn navigation alerts
- Smartphone connectivity features
So when you’re choosing between these two versions, the decision isn’t about performance or ride quality. Your choice depends on technology, not performance.

Pros
- Maxi scooter styling
- Comfortable long seat
- Smooth refined engine
- Connected technology
Cons
- Premium pricing
- Slightly bulky in traffic
- Not sporty
- Rear drum brake
Verdict
After spending time riding it through everyday traffic, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 makes its priorities very clear. It doesn’t try to win you over with sporty performance. The Burgman Street 125 is designed for comfort, relaxed ergonomics, and a more premium feel than many scooters in this segment. In this Suzuki Burgman Street 125 expert review, the biggest highlight is how simple and convenient it feels for everyday commuting. The roomy riding position, smooth engine, and maxi-style design all work together to make city rides less tiring and more enjoyable.
As Preetam Bora explains, “If comfort and premium feel matter more than outright performance, the Burgman Street makes a strong case.”
You don’t buy the Burgman Street to race. You buy it because it makes everyday commuting feel more relaxed, comfortable, and premium.

- One of the best maxi scooters but slightly overpriced4.0Street Standard Edition(Petrol)i have purchased in Sep'2022 , overall performance is very good. and in even in after 3 years the mileage is above 40 and in some cases it crosses 45+. Riding is smooth. Only thing is missing in ABS and better breaks. Ground clearance should have been little better. I think none of the maxi scooters offers such expirence. New Version is better having more features such as bigger rear tyre and engine start stop kill features. Overall that is also expensive.By Haris PadiyarPosted on: Mar 12, 2025 01:42 PM00

- Could be better2.0Street Standard Edition(Petrol)The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 feels underpowered, especially on highways. The maintenance cost is higher than expected, and the mileage is not as good as advertised. - Fuel consumption is high4.0Street Ride Connect Edition(Petrol)The scooter feels heavy in traffic, and the mileage is lower than I expected. I’m only getting around 40 kmpl, which is disappointing for a 125cc scooter. The engine is smooth, but the fuel consumption is high.By Ramesh JainPosted on: Sep 27, 2024 04:49 PM00
- The maintenance cost is Higher2.0Street Standard Edition(Petrol)For the price, I expected more from the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. The engine performance is average, and the mileage is lower than promised. The maintenance cost is also on the higher side. Overall, not satisfied.By Damu MessiPosted on: Sep 24, 2024 04:17 PM00
